This is the second time this has happened.  I opened Windows Live to view emails and noticed all storage folders are messed up in order and names, several imported folders appear with some storage folders under them and others completely missing.

The first time it happened I spent hours rearranging them but only one storage folder had the message "unable to open" - the messages were all there but couldn't open them.  As it was only one folder - my daughters wedding stuff - I deleted it and opened a new one and she forwarded all the emails again.

However, this time, almost all the storage folders show the "message cannot be found" error, still all in incorrect order with several imported folders - I need help as I can't access any of them.

I have done the repair Windows Live suggestion which made no difference at all. I'm using Windows 8.

I would like to know how to fix this and what caused it to happen in the first place.
