I have used Windows Live Photo Gallery for several years.  I recently bought an Acer laptop with Windows 8.1.  I was able to download WLPG and download pictures from my camera.  But every time I go to use it, it'll work for a short time, but then, I'll get the little "winged" message that WLPG has crashed.

I read on other sites that WLPG is incompatible with W8.1.  Is there any "fix" available for this?  I have tried other "picture" programs and WLPG meets all my needs and I'd hate to let it go.

Again, any (hopefully official) fixes out there to correct this problem?
