When I click on 'burn a dvd', I get a message stating "must have windows media player or another program".  I have media player, but what other is needed?

This just happened last 2 times, and never before. have burned many dvds, but now cannot. tried burncd and it did not work either, say ing 'progam in use in another place, cancel that use first. /// Help:  anyone??
