Hi,

I posted this problem about 10 days ago and am still waiting for a Forum moderator to get back to me so I can send my log files by private message. Can someone help me please?

I have a problem which a lot of other people appear to have had, but I can't find any satisfactory solutions. I had Windows Essentials Movie Maker on my laptop but removed it and replaced it with Movie Maker 6 for my son to use to edit his videos because I read it had some better features. He didn't like it so I downloaded Windows Essentials Movie Maker again but now I can't open it.

The message I get is 'Sorry Movie Maker can't start. Make sure your computer meets the minimum requirements......and try to update the driver......' etc. I've checked everything and my laptop and driver, and Intel Direct 10.1X graphics, do meet all the requirements and are updated.

I uninstalled and re-installed Movie Maker several times, then tried removing all of Windows Essentials and reinstalling, all to no avail. I've also tried to restore my computer to an earlier time but it wouldn't go back far enough to a time before I uninstalled Movie Maker.

Thanks in advance.

Toni.
