Hi community.

If anyone has any information on this topic, please submit an answer on this page! Thank you.

Recently, I have been uploading videos to my YouTube channel (https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCdFRS7cTyoPERNfirVeAZuA). I post daily videos on drones, and I like to edit my videos before uploading them to YouTube. I thought I would try out Windows Live Movie Maker to edit my videos, because a friend recommended it to me, because he thought it would be useful for me.

Here's where the problem comes in. I open Windows Live Movie Maker, and click on 'Add Videos And Photos.' I then locate the video I want to import and click 'Open.' This then opens the video file and incorporates it into the program. However, in the bottom left hand corner of the application, it comes up with a message saying 'Preparing Video ? of ?' (The question marks indicating however many videos there are.) My videos are normally 11 minutes long, and I thought it would only take about 2 minutes to complete preparing the file. It took easily 4 hours.

I looked this issue up online and it said that I should just disable it so I went on to the settings but there is no 'Advanced' settings tabs, which is very weird! (SEE PHOTO) I can't figure out a way to disable it any other way, and when I try to stop the preparation, the video doesn't play!

If anyone has any idea how to fix this issue, please post it on here.

And please check out my YouTube channel, DronesTips.

Thank you!

Charlie Matthews
