My son is trying to post a few videos to YouTube that he has recorded with Open Broadcaster screen capture software, saved as .flv files. They post fine to YouTube, but he'd like to edit them, and that seems to be where we have a problem. The movies open in WLMM (version 2011), and play, and allow credit editing, but the long filmstrip is gray, not showing frames. The main problem is saving the edited movie. After selecting any of the Save As options, the progress bar never moves, and "Windows Live Movie Maker not responding" appears in the box. I have tried converting the raw .flv files generated by Open Broadcaster into .wmv first, but doesn't seem to help. We are running Windows 7 64 bit on a Dell Latitude E6530 laptop.
Any ideas?
Thanks!
