I have been using Windows Live Movie Maker since I was given my laptop around 5 years ago. However, a couple of weeks ago, the preview window stopped working, I have had a problem similar to this before, where I was using the wrong codec. So, I converted the files I was using to the right codec. Still nothing happened. Thinking I was using an old version, I installed the latest version: Version 2012 (Build 16.4.3528.0331) from the official Microsoft website. The issue has still not been fixed, it is now also worse as when I import videos, it takes a really long time for them to load before, when I try to edit them by clicking on them, it comes up with an error: Error: 0xC945002D.

This was after, 3 times in a row, I had many windows updates to install (they were installed automatically when I turned off my computer)

I really need to edit some videos so any advice would be greatly appreciated. If you need me to post my specs please just let me know.

I have also done a virus check and it came up with nothing.
