I spent many hours adding and editing videos, photos and audio for my home movie.  I saved the project regularly and, when completed, saved the movie on an external hard drive in the high definition aspect.  After watching the movie, I realized I wanted to make a few more edits.  I called up my saved project in Windows Live Movie Maker only to find most of it had disappeared, so to speak.  Each video and photo is grey.  Each song is listed with but no sound is heard.  All titles show up on the edit board but not when previewing.  The original files have not been moved from their location.  No yellow triangle is shown.  I thought I would try to update Windows Live Movie Maker but read on another post that is not possible as it is embedded within Live Essentials.  I thought I would try to download a K-lite Codec to try to solve the issue, as suggested in another post on Microsoft, however, it was for Windows 7 only.  Thank you for your time!
