I was working on a video that I recorded using Fraps which records in .AVI. Upon finishing the video I rendered it and when it finished it came up stating that there were some files missing (I checked and there weren't). The video was rendered, though. I only had about 9 GB of memory left on one hard drive and it dropped from 9 to 1.27 GB. However, there was no file there. I even have hidden files/folders showing. But it couldn't possibly be saved anywhere else because when I go to click save, it opens up the folder in which I originally saved it. That was the first time I tried rendering it. So I freed up some space and tried rendering it again. Unfortunately, my computer crashed mid way with the "blue screen of death". I didn't think it was anything weird at the time, but I did notice I went down from 12 GB to 10, so it did create a video file for what it rendered (which still did not appear). That wasn't issue, though. I tried rendering it again after freeing up more space, and my computer crashed again. I tried again, and it crashed. And then I tried saving it to an external hard drive and it crashed. I can only assume rendering the video is what causes the computer to crash. Right now I'm trying to render it again.  Hopefully it won't crash, but it probably will. I'm unsure as to how to fix this. I can watch the entire video and every file is fine, nothing cuts out. I've used .AVI files before in Windows Live Movie Maker and never had a problem. The only program I've had problems with .AVI files is in Sony Vegas (that's why I'm using Movie Maker for this one). If anyone knows how to fix this or could give me some insight I'd appreciate it. Thank you!
