This is about using Windows Live Mail on Windows 7. I have 2 accounts, one o2 and the other plusnet. If I look for incoming emails I get the same message for both accounts 'An unknown fault has occurred 'WLM Error ID 0x80004005'. The consequence is that we are not receiving new emails and can't send any either. We are on PlusNet and they say there is nothing wrong with their system.
I have deleted WLM and then reinstalled WLM2012. The new WLM picks up all the contacts and stored emails I had before ( without my doing anything) but still nothing works.
I had left a v large number of emails in the inbox and thought it might be good to clear it out but this now seems to be impossible. I cant delete anything from the inbox or anywhere else ; that is a new problem too.
Another difference that may be relevant. Since the problem arose, when opening WLM there is a delay while it is 'recovering the windows live mail database' It never did that before.
I can see on o2 webmail and plusnet webmail that new emails are arriving on both addresses but we can't now access them on WLM.
I would v much appreciate some help on this as it has me stumped. Thanks.
