I was cleaning up a family member's Live Mail. There were two old emails in the outbox that had incorrect email addresses. I deleted them, I deleted 100+ emails from drafts, I deleted hundreds of email from the Spam folder,  I emptied the deleted mail folder.

When I closed and restarted Windows Live Mail (in Windows 7), the Windows Live Mail dialog box comes up with "Send 2 message(s) using 'pop server address here'". The status is 'Executing'. Starting and stopping does nothing. It doesn't time out, there is no error message.

I ran the Repair All Windows Live programs from Programs in Control Panel. It restarted Windows Live but did not fix the problem.

Any suggestions?
