I have this problem at regular intervals for no apparent reason. When I follow the route to get a new password I get told to give another e-mail address where I can first receive a code. I do not have another e-mail address and do not understand how to login to Internet Explorer  nor what it will achieve. Does anyone know the root cause of this obviously frequent and widespread problem? Is Microsoft addressing it?  I am seriously thinking now of abandoning Live Mail and moving to my BT Yahoo account which seems more reliable.
