Since yesterday I have been unable to send emails. I am using WIN8.1, have a Verizon email address and have not had an issue in the past. Spent hours on the phone with Verizon, my incoming and outgoing settings are fine. I was told it was an issue with the server not connecting.

The message I am receiving is "your server has  unexpectedly terminated the connection due to inactivity, etc."

I tried the chat option, only to find out the techs only deal with the mail app installed with the program and directed me here. I have looked around and cannot find any info to help me.
