I've checked other similar questions and all suggest "turning on notifications" which is no longer listed under "options" under calendar under Outlook.com.  I don't use Outlook, and never will (it sucks).  I like Windows Live Mail and am a paid MSN premium subscriber for over 30 years, and prefer to use it.  However, my calendar reminders do not get transmitted to my MSN email account.  I have the email acct set up in Outlook calendar options, I have all 3 of my calendars "checked," I have times and everything set, and the "Original Calendar" set as "primary."  I've entered test reminders in all 3 calendars, well in advance of current time, and no email is being generated.  I'm using both Win 7 and Win 8.1 (including XP).  None will work.  This always seemed to work perfectly, and I use the reminders to remind me of daily appointments.  What's the problem?
