I am on Windows 7 and Window Live Mail, recently ( April 2017) my Contacts ‘disappeared’.

I tried repairing Windows Essentials but to no avail.

I have tried looking at solutions to similar instances but these seem to occur after upgrades which I haven’t had.

My symptoms are that I can see Mail and Calendar but when I click on the Contacts icon I get a blank template

My current configuration is ‘signed on’ i.e. I   automatically log in online when I load.

Strangely if I want to send an email when I start entering the email address LiveMail starts suggesting recipients from my list of Contacts?

If I log into the online system I can see the list of Contacts but in the on-line or Internet presentation

From looking at other solutions I have discovered I can temporarily recover my Contacts my deselecting automatic log on and then reloading Live Mail. If I them immediately select Contacts the list appears but if I move to Mail or Calendar and then back to Contacts I get the blank screen template again.

Any ideas how I can recover Contacts on my laptop permanently?
