I am having some similar issues to those I've seen mentioned here and something else as well with Live Mail ..........

About a week ago, my Mother couldn't sign into her email and she had received a whole bunch of spam like messages the day before.  It appears that someone somehow got her password and used her email address to spam message - so our provider blocked her account.  We resolved that issue right away, but when using her desktop, firstly, each time she opens Live Mail, it errors on signing in automatically and the window pops up to enter the email and password (which is already entered) and if you hit "OK" it logs in just fine (???????)

Secondly, it downloads the messages from our IP's server and the list show on the upper part of the screen, but the bottom half (preview window) is blank.  I was trying to click through things yesterday and got the preview to show up again, but after another click, it was gone again and you can't double click on a message to open it in another window - nothing happens.  It was while I was clicking back and forth from Mail, to Contacts, to Calendar, etc. that the preview showed up and again disappeared and also when I noticed that all her contacts were gone .................  On the Contacts tab, it's totally blank.  She has a copy of an old version of her address book from a past reinstall on her desktop and when I clicked on it to open it, it said it was importing them, but nothing showed up, and if I try to write a new email and go to the "To" column, and start to type someone's name or address I know should be there, nothing happens ..............

Can anyone help or give me a suggestion as to where to go or what to do ? Thanks in advance for problems I've never come across before !
