I prepare an outgoing message and send.  It includes photographs attached, using a small size to stay within limits.  The message does not appear in the "Outgoing" folder, but is sitting in the "Tasks" box, showing that it is "Executing".  Sits there for literally hours, blocking other outgoing messages waiting behind it.  It can be highlighted, but it cannot be deleted, completed, removed, etc..  It simply sits, freezing the system.  The "Stop" box is grayed out, leaving only "Hide" and "Details", which are useless.
This also freezes the "Send/Receive" process, blocking the receipt of new email.

How can this be cleared or deleted?

And why won't the message go through?  It is not oversize.  All port and server settings have been checked & rechecked.  Nothing.

As a last resort, I completely shut down WLM, and restarted.  Upon restart, the "executing" message no longer appears in the Task box, and new emails are received.
Using a draft copy of the original message, I send it again.  This time is produces error message reflecting "unknown error".  Again, all server settings are correct.
Solution?
