I am sitting in Mumbai, India. Few days back Windows XP SP2 got corrupted due to HD issues and after replacing HD, XP was successfully reloaded. AS I lost my capability for W live mail, which had been working with no problems since 2010, the engineer
down loaded the "wlsetup" - version 14.0.8089.0726 (Wlive set up custom) to set up again so that when you click on W live mail icon in the desk top, the log in is done automatically and mail down loaded.
However now the "wlsetup" version 14.0.8089.0726, when clicked displays a message saying " could not install programs, use windows update to down load the latest version of windows installer and try again." The error message displays "msi_check:0x80280002"
"your version of Installer is out of date."
I would appreciate any step by step direction as to which Installer I need to use and any other down loads required to re establish my original access to be able to view W l;ive mail without the need for a log in each time.
Further if there is a method to migrate from wlive mail to the latest outlook as prescribed by Microsoft, this would be appreciated as I ahve a paid account for w live mail.
