I get the following message when trying to receive emails using windows live mail 2011. I am using AVG antivirus and I have tried disabling it but it makes no difference:

Unable to send or receive messages for the Sky (xxxxxx) account. Your server has unexpectedly terminated the connection. Possible causes for this include server problems, network problems, or a long period of inactivity.

The problem has only recently arisen and I am wondering if it had anything to do with windows updates the other day.
