I have Windows 10 on a Toshiba Laptop.
I have been having a problem with my Windows Live Mail 2012. It does not open sometimes and I get the "Windows Live Mail Error (0x80041161)" pop up.
I go to programs and I right click on Windows Essentials and then left click on Uninstall/Change to repair it. This works for a then starts doing the same thing again. I kept doing the same thing to fix.

I read this here I believe and tried it.>>Check if the windows live-id sign assistant service is disabled/ stopped. Start the service and then Windows Live mail should startup.<< I went to "admin tools" in the control panel to find "services" but did not see it. Saw "component service", but nothing in there about Live-ID sign in.

I tried this also to fix problem. It was not on Automatic (Delayed Start) so I made it so.
The service has changed its name for Windows 10 and it's called Microsoft Account Sign-in Assistant, possibly because it's also involved in the Windows sign-in when using a Microsoft Account.
Close down all running programs.
Press Windows key Image + R to open a Run box.
Type services.msc and press Enter.
In the Services window, look for Microsoft Account Sign-in Assistant and double-click on it.
If it's not there, find Windows Live ID Sign-in Assistant and double-click on that instead.
Whichever you find, is its Service status Running or not?
In the Start-up type dropdown, select Automatic (Delayed Start), then click Apply and OK.
Close the Services window and restart the computer.
Try launching Windows Live Mail.

So this worked for 2 days and then I am back to the same problem. What am I missing?

After starting up my laptop, at times after I do these things, I get this black pop up that says, >>"Failed to connect to a Windows service. Windows couldn't connect to the group Policy Client service. This problem prevents standard users from signing in. As a administrative user, you can review."<<
I am the only one that uses this laptop. I don't know if this has anything to do with my problem
