Hi I am on windows 7 version of livemail and have an issue

All my inbox emails seem to be mapped to my pictures library folder as word docs. Word docs get created unless I delete my email. I have approx. 600 emails in my inbox at any one time but this seems to be using considerable space since my emails get duplicated as word docs as well. How do I fix this
