I am running Windows Live Mail 2012 as part of Windows essentials on Windows 7. No problem until recently.

As of a couple of days ago, Windows Live Mail stopped downloading attachments to emails. The email would show up in my in box, but with no paper-clip or other sign of an attachment. As of today, Windows Live Mail will not download any email with an attachment. Emails without attachments arrive.

I can send emails with attachments.

When I check my email accounts online at my two email service providers, the emails with their attachments have all been received, and can be viewed.

In Live Mail, under Safety Options, I have unchecked the box that blocks attachments. I have also restored/repaired Windows Essentials. Neither solved the problem.

Help would be appreciated.
