Windows Live Mail cut-and-paste hotlinks from one message to another

I use WLM to send a recurring message that contains several hot links. For the past year, I have been able to cut-and-paste the old message to a new message, make minor updates and send. WLM does not offer a "resend" or "edit and resend" function similar to Outlook, so I have been creating my weekly message with this method.

This week, I found that WLM will no longer copy the hot links. The text and any pictures are copied, but not any embedded hot links associated with the text or picture. I have tried various cut-and-paste methods within WLM and from sources outside of WLM. Nothing. Reentering all the links would be very tedious, so I am desperate for a solution,

I am wondering if this might be the result of either Windows updates or the removal of Norton Internet Security (I have run the Norton Removal Tool with no improvement).
