On Windows Live Mail, in the Home tab, when I click Send/Receive, it goes to my IMAP email server to look at all my email folders to download new messages.  Most have already been downloaded so it goes very quickly.  A popup window shows the progress, showing e.g., checking 'folder_name' for new messages .  If there are messages to download, it shows, e.g., downloading message 2 of 10 in 'folder_name' .

But when it gets to my folder named "now", it just stops at the first message (checking ...).  After awhile I get this message:  Your IMAP server has not responded in 300 seconds .

All the messages from that folder have already been downloaded so it's not like it has too many to process.  It just needs to realize there are none to download & move on to the next folder.  But it just hangs there.

I've stopped & started this process many times with the same result.  I've updated the folders list (Reset List) many times with the same result.  I've stopped & started Windows Live Mail & still have the problem.

How can I get it to process the "now" folder & move on?

My system:

Windows 10

Windows Live Mail Version 2012 (Build 16.4.3528.0331)

IMAP email on GoDaddy
