How do I stop the Windows Live Mail calendar from synching? I do not use the calendar and do not want it to synch.

I have set up my Windows Live Mail Hotmail account as an IMAP account because of the recent update which stopped the synch. But the Live Mail calendar still wants to synch giving me an error each time I download emails/update the account.
