I have a problem caused by having my computer files encrypted by hackers and I need help, please. I'm on Windows 10 but have always downloaded and installed, as I prefer them, Windows Live Mail and Windows Photo Gallery. Fortunately, my data was backed up prior to being hacked and I now want to download it to my computer but need to install the 2 programs mentioned to enable me to do so. I've downloaded both programs from various sources but I keep getting an error message - unable to install - error code 0x800c0006. Can anyone tell me how to overcome this problem so that I can get back my files. I've seen other comments about this error code relating to the download language but it doesn't seem to matter what language I use - English UK or US - I still get nowhere. I know that there are other supposedly better mail and photo programs but these are the ones I prefer, particularly Photo Gallery. Can anyone help, please as there is now no support from Microsoft for these programs.
