Hello

Summary:

  • Everything was working fine on Win 8.1
  • Upgraded to Win 10
  • Everything was working fine for a week
  • I then got an error message from Live Mail that I cannot open a mail. This coincidentally happened after Live Mail crashed. After the initial crash, I was still able to open the application but couldn't open a new mail. At the same time, my Outlook 2013 started bugging too. I can type emails, send them but they get stuck in the outbox. Weirdly, not all emails just the ones I send to myself.
  • Uninstalled Office 365 and reinstalled, still getting emails stuck in the Outbox
Uninstalled Live Mail, reinstalled, defragged, uninstalled via CMD line parameter, reinstalled, etc... and still got the error of missing dll. Followed some help tips, clean install but then got the error message Live Mail can't be opened, data is being used by another program (0x800C0155, 997)...
  • I've also tried to change the ownership of the data using takeown /F "%localappdata%MicrosoftWindows Live MailMail.MSMessageStore"
  • I'm slowly losing the will to live!

Please help! I don't care if I lose my Live Mail data on this local device as long as it doesn't get lost from the servers or web-app.
