I received an email from person 1 and replied and sent

I then forwarded original received email to person 2 without reply attached

My problem is when I now go to sent items I only see the reply I forwarded to the second person not the reply I sent first with my response which I really need to have access to...

Why is this so ..is there any way I can see the first sent email with the response on it???

Please help I am desperate!!!!!!
