Hello,
I received an e-mail on 12/11/2015 from Outlook that said:
In a few weeks, we will be making some changes to our email services that might impact your @outlook.com, @hotmail, @live, or @msn email account. Those changes will prevent your email from being delivered to the Windows Live Mail 2012 application you use.
In order to continue using Windows Live Mail 2012 to send and receive email for your account, you need to install the latest update published here.
I followed the link and the program gives to option, repair or remove Windows Live Mail. I did the repair and figured that applied the patch. The dl instructions were pretty vauge and pretty much just said download it and run it. It didn't mention a repair
or remove option.
All seemed well until today. I noticed I had received some e-mails at my @live.com account on my phone....yet when I went to my PC they did not show up in Windows Live Mail 2012. It seems the program will still send mail from there, but it will not find new
messages to my @live.com account.
I can still see the mail on the outlook.com website, but my Windows Live Mail 2012 does not show the new e-mails. No errors or anything.....if I didn't know I actually had new e-mails...it would seem everything was fine. I do have another email account setup
in Windows Live Mail 2012 and it is behaving normally.
I did my best to be prepared for this "change" that the e-mail warned about, but dl that program and repairing the program did not seem to fix things. It's also weird that I can still send from it, but not receive the new e-mails.
Help would be appreciated.
