Up until recently Windows Live Mail has successfully retrieved messages from the BT Yahoo Mail Server. Now it has started to display this error message: Unable to send or received messages for the BTinternet (lionelbeck) account. This is in spite of the fact that it has just downloaded a bunch of messages! Server Error 0x800CCC90 .. Windows Live Mail Error ID 0x800420CD.

These codes mean nothing to me.

If I click the Send/Receive Button again, it downloads the same bunch of messages (even though it is not supposed to leave any messages on the server). I haven't changed any of the WLM settings.

I've just had a conversation with a BT tech assistant, giving him screen shots of the error message and my settings, and he insists there is no fault at the BT end, the fault is with WLM and I should get help from Microsoft, so I hope someone can come up with a solution. Incidentally I have two email addresses with BT Yahoo, and the other one never encounters this problem. Thanks.
