Suddenly yesterday began to get this error message trying to download mail from Verizon.  Absolutely nothing changed on this end.  I spent about an hour chatting with Verizon tech support today.  User id and password are correct as I can access mail from the Verizon website.  Below is a screen shot of message.

Unable to send or receive messages for the Verizon (aliceandjim) account. An incorrect password was entered. The next time you send or receive messages, you'll be asked to enter your user name and password for this account.
