I am trying to migrate to Windows Live Mail from Windows Mail as it appears to be a more flexible program. However after many deletes and re-installs WLM still cannot read my mail ( viewed in Quick view, no error codes) . Message tells me that a problem has occurred and to try again. I have tried many different things and am rapidly getting confused. I did try the regedit.exe idea in one of your replies and found that HKEY did not appear in my registry . They are all HKCU.

I have made WLM my default program but fortunately Windows Mail still is receiving and reading my mail. I would not be keen to delete Mail until WLM is working . I am using 64 bit Windows 8.1 and the Live download claims to be the most recent. I see no way that this can be checked
