Greetings. Am using Windows Live 2012 (Build 16.4.3564.1216) on Win 10 os on a personal desktop - have been doing so since the fall for a certain account without any issue. A few days ago its POP3.LIVE.COM server keeps throwing back the login dialog box saying the password is invalid despite repeatedly entering what I know is the correct info, Have not made any changes to the accounts settings, verified they have not been changed, and am curious why this is occurring. Suspect the password was inadvertently changed on the server or has become invalid somehow.
In any case not sure how to resolve the issue and would like to start by verifying the server settings are correct and if so, reset the password for the POP3.LIVE.COM server but do not know how to do the latter (can't easily find this on line).
The error (when I finally cancel out of the unending loop of being asked to enter my credentials) is as follows:
"Unable to send or receive messages for the Msn (hillarion) account. An incorrect password was entered. The next time you send or receive messages, you'll be asked to enter your user name and password for this account.
Server Error: 0x800CCC90
Server Response: -ERR authentication failed
Server: 'POP3.LIVE.COM'
Windows Live Mail Error ID: 0x800CCC92

Any advice is welcome.
Presently my server settings seem to be up to snuff per online help
