I run Windows XP sp3, and had Windows live mail version ( Build 14.0.8117.0416 ) installed. Recently I've had a lot of problem with it closing down, saying it has encountered a problem and has to close. I then lost all my E-Mails saved in named folders in the In box, followed by the ability to send mail. But now I have lost the ability to open LIve Mail. When I try to open it, what happens is this:
Windows Live Mail Storage Recovery Window opens. Almost immediately another window opens called Windows Live Mail, stating:
"Windows Live Mail could not be started. The application was unable to open the Windows Live Mail message store. Windows Live Mail was unable to locate it's message data base. If you've moved the database files to a new location, click Ok to reset the database path to that location. Otherwise, click cancel to proceed, any existing messages found will be available under Orphaned Accounts. (0x00000000, 2)."
When I cancel a new window opens called Windows Live Mail, stating:
" Windows Live Mail could not be started. The application was unable to open the Windows Live Mail message store. Your computer may be out of memory or your disk is full. (0x8000FFFF, 1400)" On checking neither my memory or disk was full.
Also tried clicking OK, to the other Window to no avail.
I am concerned that I will lose my contacts lists, is there anyway I can recover this, and how do I remove Windows Live Mail from my system?
