I'm using Essentials Movie Maker on Windows 8.1 to import VHS files thru firewire into my computer.  It's using a TBC and Canopus SVideo to firewire converter inline.  When importing there is a line says:

Dropped Frames:  50/39454

Always says 50 and the second part after the slash keeps going up.  Is the left the dropped frames and the right side the number of frames in the video?  Trying to understand what I'm seeing when importing these videos.
