Hi all,

I am really frustrated because I can't get any of the Windows Essential applications to work.  My daughter asked me to install movie maker for her but after the installation, a window popped up saying "windows essentials has stopped working."  The same message popped up when I tried to execute any of the programs, i.e. movie maker, family safety, etc...

I am running Windows 7 ultimate with 64bit.  Computer is a I7 intel processor.

I have done uninstall through control panel and then reinstall from both online and offline.

I have done uninstall through CMD with admin user privs and reinstall again.

I have uninstall through CMD and then del (removed) each directory completely from the hard drive and reinstall but nothing works.

I think there is a program that is blocking Windows Essentials.

Applications on my computer:  Constant Guard/Norton Utility anti-virus, Microsoft Office 2010, Quicken 2011, Adobe Reader, CutePDF, Nero 9.

Browsers: IE 11, Firefox, and chrome.

I need help solving this problem.  Thanks

Tom
