I've been using Windows Essentials 2012 for Movie Maker for years, including on Windows 10. Last week my computer died and I had to get my OS reinstalled and I need to reinstall my applications, including Essentials 2012. I have the installation file in my old downloads (had the drives copied) but every time I launch it it "prepares to install..", loads a bit, and errors saying "couldn't install programs". I've tried installing it with administrator privileges, and setting the compatibility on everything all the way back to XP. Can anyone help me get this installed? Having this program means a lot to me, I've used it nearly every day for years.
