My windows 10 Mail service no longer updates.
This because I made some changes in Outllook to get my Windows Essential live mail to work again. Although it is no longer to be supported by Microsoft from January 2017.
I still value the Windows Essential mail as I have archived a number of old emails in various folders in it and they appear not to get synchronised to Windows 10 Mail so I can only use them in Windows Essentials live mail at present.
In 2016 the new DeltaSync protocol became the default configuration in Windows Live Mail for Microsoft email accounts (those @outlook, @hotmail, @live, @msn, @windowslive and any other free account with a mailbox at mail.live.com).
To fix server the error in Windows essentials live mail '3219' 'Unable to send or receive messages to the Outlook account' a few months back I created a second mail account in my Outlook using IMAP protocol to re-synchronize my live mail again with mail folders and messages in my Outlook Mail servers.

Set up a new IMAP account

- Enter your email address, password and display name for outgoing messages.
- Select Manually configure server settings and click Next.
- For the incoming server, select IMAP from the dropdown.
For the incoming server address, enter imap-mail.outlook.com and change the port number to 993.
Select Requires a secure connection (SSL).
For Authenticate using, select Clear text from the dropdown.
For Log-on username, enter the full email address. - For the outgoing mail server address, enter smtp.live.com and change the port to 587.
Select Requires a secure connection (SSL) and Requires authentication. - Click Next and Finish.
The original account uses the DeltaSync as its the default and the now account uses the IMAP.
Can anyone advise me please on what instructions I should follow to get Windows 10 Mail back as well.
