Thanks in advance for any help. I have a new Lenovo G50 with a Core i3 and Windows 8.1. It came without Windows Essential. When I try to download Essential 2012, I can download the .exe file.  but when I try to run it, the "preparing to install" window opens but never progresses from there. I have firewalls turned off. I only need the Movie Maker portion.
