I have an ASUS notebook that originally had

Windows 8.1 OS.   After upgrading to 10 I needed to start using Windows Defender for protection of my computer.  I thought to myself "why pay for protection when Windows 10 is so self sufficient"?  how come McAfee is always popping up and saying "I'm at risk?
