  • I have used Movie Maker for a few years now making videos for my church - no problem.  I now have a new laptop that runs Windows 8.  I was attempting to make a movie Movie Maker as usual, but the video file played the sound, but no picture.

  • I looked on the Microsoft site to see if there was anything to help with this and found this message buried in a comment somewhere:

  • "Support for using MPEG‑2 and Microsoft Recorded TV Show video files in your movie is available only if your computer is running one of the following editions of Windows: Windows 7 Home Premium, Windows 7 Professional, Windows 7 Enterprise, or Windows 7 Ultimate, Windows Vista Home Premium, or Windows Vista Ultimate."

Now, I have a problem because the camera I have records video in the MPEG format.  What can I do to be able to use my videos in Movie Maker again?  Please help.
