Since I had windows 8 installed I have had intermittent keyboard & mouse not recognized on power up of pc.  The operating system seems to come up normally, but the keyboard and mouse are dead.  I may have to turn power off to the pc several times to get them recognized sometimes taking two or three hours to get going.
