On laptop running Windows 10 I installed Windows Essentials 2012, agreeing to recommended full installation of components. After install, I was asked to sign in to my Microsoft Account which I did. After which another screen appeared asking me to enter my PIN, but with no PIN being sent to me on any device or email and no place to enter PIN if I had one. I do have two-step authentication turned on. Upon research I see that this has been a problem with Live Mail running on Windows 10. I uninstalled Essentials. I then did a new download and installed only Photo Gallery, as that is the main feature I wanted (I do not use Live Mail). But upon installation and signing on to my Microsoft Account I am still confronted with the screen asking me to enter a PIN which I do not have and there is no place to enter it if I did.
