Running Windows 10 64 Bit with 64 GB memory with file history on. The hard drive that I stored my photos died (Seagate Barracuda) 20+ years of files gone. I found a backup of my album folder in file history and restored to my J: Drive. Opened photo gallery and changed the path to include the new folder location. Photo Gallery loaded all the photos. I had tagged faces through to those starting with C roughly 500 folders. about 75% of the previously tagged faces are now not tagged.  The name is somewhere in the files as when tagging faces I enter a name and shows in the box along with the new person option. It is my understanding that this data is stored in the photo meta data. Any ideas of what is going on would be greatly appreciated.
