I recently changed my outlook account opening a new one with an email address that matched my Office 365 account and closed the old one. But I can't get the computer to delete the old email and allow me to enter the new one in the app.  Each time I try I get an error message

"Something went wrong... We're sorry, but we weren't able to do that Error code 0x81040104" 

I have tried to add the new email address and then I would delete the old one and I tried to delete the old one first either way I get the same message.  Now the old one does not exist anymore as I said I closed that account.  The PC has the new name and works with it the One Drive settings show what they should I just can't get email at the new address from the App and I have a constant reminder to fix the old account that should not be there.

So how can I get rid of it and put the one in place that might do me some good?
