So , What is the final answer ? Will WLM 2012 continue to Sync with Outlook.com after June 30/2016 , if connected Via IMAP? Deltasync doesn't even work properly right now.

I have been having issues for the past few months with WLM2012 and the DeltaSync method of syncing properly with all folders, and messages. I had never tried the IMAP method until today. I set it up as a separate account to the Deltasync one , and viola all my messages, folders, etc were all sync'd from outlook.com into the IMAP account on WLM2012.  However I noticed that it created two Junk folders(Junk& Junk E-mail), two Sent folders(Sent & Sent Items), and two Deleted folders (Deleted & Deleted Items)  Keep in Mind it does take some time to sync all the folders and messages.

At this point I am not sure what the result will be with the IMAP account and how it determines which of the duplicate folders to populate ?

I spent 30 minutes with Microsoft Technical Support Chat a few weeks ago, right after Microsoft sent the email notification of end of support for WLM2012 and the Sync of Hotmail, outook accounts. I was pissed ! ... how many times does this have to happen? Why cant Microsoft just stick with a Mail program, and support it like all other OS Manufacturers. This has happened from Outlook express, to Office Outlook, to WLM2009 , WLM2011, and now WLM2012 . Ridiculous !!! MS is just pushing their customers away. They are supposed to make things easier , not more difficult.  Either way , they logged the complaint I made ! lol, yeh right !

I prefer to use a Client program that supports web sync. Like gmail . The client programs have a much more entailed, deeper UI, and both my Mother Age 82 , and my Father age 83 want the UI features they are used to, they have had to migrate their Hotmail accounts from Outlook express all the way through to WLM2012, as every two years or so MS ends sync support for those client programs. They both liked Office outlook the best, and outlook express next.  MS should have stuck with Outlook express, and just update it and support it with patches every once in a while, and keep your customers happy. Not pissed and aggrevated !! outlook express was a perfect simple, yet all the features you needed. My elderly parents loved it. Until recently they were using WLM2012, I have had to migrate them again to Outlook.com in preparation for this end of Sync support. They both hate OUTLOOK.COM ... it is featureless, and contacts are not shown the way they want, same with buttons being hidden under drop downs, Like the Forward option. The worst is the contact list . It is ridiculous that you cannot see your entire contact list to select and choose (check mark) from , but rather Scroll, and that you have to go to a completely different website to manage your contact list in Outlook.com ... you have to go to the PEOPLE Site , which is completely misleading, Why not call it Contact list ? Why not be able to manage your contacts directly from your contact list in outlook.com ?

What is also ridiculous is that you can use any other client program apparently , other than Microsoft's , to connect  and sync your outlook.com accounts. I have tried a couple and I do not like them. One was called "EM CLIENT" but was clunky and I didn't like the UI . I haven't tried Thunderbird , but am curious if anyone else has for Outlook.com? and what you think about the Sync ability and features, UI , etc ?

I also use the Client program WLM2012 for POP, and Gmail account, as well as two Hotmail accounts. The client software features are far superior than the web interfaces out there. I love how it separates each account and folders , and how you can drag and drop any email from any account into another.

Please Advise.

Thanks
