  1. My computer (HP Pavilion 500 PC - 64 bit) crashed due to a bad hard drive.
  2. I had Windows 8.1 on it
  3. A new hard drive was installed.
  4. A system recovery disk was obtained from HP Customer Servive & used to re-establish the Operating System & all the original software.
  5. I brought the PC home & installed my anti-virus software.
  6. I then went online & downloade Window Essential 2012 so that I could get Windows Live Mail.
  7. WE 2012 installed & include  WLM plust the other software that comes with WE 2012
  8. I booted up WLM & was asked to sign onto the Microsoft account, which I did using my email address & PW.
  9.  The "outline" of WLM shows on the screen, but no emails!
  10. I contacted the local service provider (Comcast) & was told to use the 587 code for outgoing mail SMTP & the 995 code for incoming POP3 as the default codes of 25 &110 apparently were incorrect.
  11. This didn't improve anything - still no emails.
  12. I have to go to comcast.net to get my emails. I like WLM better & would prefer to get thi up & running.

Any suggestions on what I might have done wrong on the install & what I should do to get WLM working?

Your help is really appreciated.

Al
