I recently had to reinstall Windows ( a nightmare in itself0 and download a new copy of WLM. First off I discovered that the method I had envisaged for restoring the old emails and folder structure - which was to copy the pre install Windows Live Mail from  User...Appdata>>>Windows Live Mail and when copy it back over the post install WLM location - didn't now work. Copying the folders with the mail in to the corresponding new folders didn't work either. Thsi seems to be because MS have updated WLM. Why? It was perfectly good before - in fact the previous interface was immensely better than the new one. Why do MS have to fiddle with things which were perfectly serviceable before. Are there people in Redmond who have nothing better to do? Not only that I couldn't find how to add a signature (I did eventually) and searched on MS support. They didn't seem to know either because the instructions were for the old version with the very handy options button in the left hand corner, now disappeared (along with the big X for delete). Are the people who did this the same people who got rid of the start button. In the same way can we have the proper version of WLM back?
