Why have I lost all that was on my Hotmail now Outlook have taken over cannot get to my saved drafts ect

Tried to get my emails but was told I had to get outlook account did this but I seem to have lost everything that I had on my Hotmail  cannot get Drafts ect that I had got saved. Why is this what do I need to do
