I use a Nikon D90 camera and take a high-res NEF file and a JPG of each image. I was running Windows 7 on a laptop and in Photo Gallery the files looked identical on screen. On my new laptop using Windows 8.1, the colour and tones of the NEF files are different from the JPG. Why is this and what can be done about it?
